Tips on Nonprofit eCommerce
From Michelle Frechette of GiveWP

Nonprofits/fundraisers don't like to think of donations as commerce... but they are, and having a good landing page design for your donations is important. I'm always happy to help anyone with questions about what that looks like, but here are a few things to keep in mind:
  • Ease of donation (Make your donation page easy to use, and easy to find. Use as few form fields as you can to accomplish the donation. People will abandon a form that takes too long to complete.)
  • Mission-oriented (show why and how their donation moves your mission forward — but be brief, and use a sidebar or minimal text above the form. Don't push the form down with too much content.)
  • Use images that motivate (show your mission's compassion with your own images)
  • Be secure (proper SSL, privacy policy, terms of service)
  • Follow up with automated thank you/receipt (and then for larger donations follow up with a hand-written thank you)

  • Special occasions are always perfect opportunities to market your products. Here are some digital marketing ideas for Valentines Day, and a reminder not to forget about the singles.
  • When it comes to chatbots, consumers are getting used to them and preferring the immediate response, rather than waiting for a human.
