Holy cow smoke, what have I gotten myself into?

Quite a bit, by my estimation...

You know, with all this blogging and putting together a short story collection and finishing up part two of Hercules Gone Mad and now it seems that I'm just about ready to commit myself to another IABS&R round (but don't tell anyone yet as I need to announce it on the blog) and I will soon be going live with a new business that is pretty much a rip-off of the IABS&R (but don't tell anyone yet as I need to announce it on the blog) and then there's this Emerson, First Commitment...

Yeah...

Which brings me to my apology...

As in, I apologize for the lack of communication, especially communication regarding the announcement from a couple newsletters back. To refresh our memories, and to bring all our new friends to this little salon like space of a newsletter full of love, I quote a key segment from the aforementioned And, in my best Elvis voice, it went something like this...

So, what does all [my commitment to Emerson] mean to you? you ask. Very good question, I answer. What it means to you is me inviting you to join me in my pursuit. I have chosen Ralph Waldo Emerson as the first author I shall commitment myself to. I will first be reading "Nature," an essay from a collection called The Writings of Ralph Waldo Emerson. As I read the essay, it is my intention to publish my personal reflections and other musings, poetry, or whatever, that are drawn from this reading. I invite you to read the essay along with me and submit via my contact page your personal reflections and other musings, poetry, or whatever, and I will publish them here in our little salon-like space of a newsletter. Finally, when we finish Nature, I will select the piece I feel best expresses or emotes what the essay attempts to convey and publish it on the blog, as well as invite its author to write a guest post. And if we find that we have a good showing from our reading of "Nature," our first Emerson commitment, then we will continue the same with each additional commitment.

I would like to thank those of you who have sent in your responses to Emerson's Nature and I invite more of you to do the same. I will publish all submissions here and announce my selection next Sunday-ish.

So, that's about all for now. I'd stay and chat some more, but I got more than a few things up in the air that I need to keep an eye or two on.

More on those few things in the air later-ish...
