Travel Insurance

The following are a couple of claims processed by QBE insurance, just imagine if you were one of these people and you had no travel insurance.
Melbourne, Australia – Feb 2014
A 55 year old man with chest pains had to be taken to hospital by ambulance. The ambulance charge was AU$2,635.93 for a distance travelled in the ambulance of less than 5 kilometres.

USA – Executive Policy
A gentleman was running in the States fainted with chest pains and was taken to hospital. Usually fit and healthy, they tested his heart and all was OK.  He did not have an overnight stay and was only advised to drink more water on discharge. The visit to the ER cost him a massive NZ$20,828.00. Pays not to faint in the USA without travel insurance!
