Raising 'em Right

Jaemor Farms: Growing six generations strong

Growing fresh produce on our farm is not the only tradition we have celebrated for the past 103 years - the first tradition has always been raising our family, right here on the farm! At any given point in time, one can encounter  four generations of the Echols family while visiting the our farm markets. Jimmy and Valvoreth Echols, along with their kids, grandkids and great-grand kids, each play a part of the family business. For those of you who may not be familiar with our history, click here to read more. Earlier this week some of the great-grand kids picked blackberries and peaches with 'Nanny' and 'Pop'. What fun a special time that was for all involved.

July and August are the peak months to find our homegrown produce in the markets. This weekend we will have peaches, blackberries, white half runner beans, squash & zucchini, cucumbers and sweet corn available, fresh from our fields for your fork. We have even picked a few ginger gold apples in the past few days, and our pumpkin plants have started to bloom. Fall will be here soon!

We have several events and activities taking place at the Jaemor in the next few weeks. Please check out all of the details below for our next canning classes, summer harvest festival, peach cook-off, farm to table dinner & more!
