Homegrown at Jaemor Farms
April has come and (almost) gone. We started harvesting our
strawberry crop (20 acres in 2018) on April 7th and have not looked back. This is the time of year we describe to folks as the peak of the roller

coaster. In January we reload, buckle in and start the climb to the first hill of the ride. In February and March we watch the weather carefully, complete a few construction projects, do some preliminary pruning and maybe take a ski trip - because when April arrives, we reach the top of first high point of the roller coaster before it drops off in high speeds, straight into May (and
peach season). Summer months at Jaemor go fast with lots of curves provided by the weather, ice cream and summer visitors. By the time October rolls around we are going through multiple, upside down loops during
pumpkin season before landing back into the station by the end of the year. Our family's annual ride is a lot of fun. We feel blessed to share what it produces with each of you!
Our 5th annual
strawberry festival is scheduled for May 5th. U-pick berries at the event will be $14 + tax per a container (Max. of 4 people per gallon container allowed in the field. 9 a.m. - 4 p.m.; Last u-pick container will be sold at 3 p.m. unless we are picked out before.
Come early!). We will have a variety of local

vendors at our Shed starting at 9 a.m., along with the Georgia Mobile Dairy Classroom (10 a.m. - 1 p.m.). Hayrides, petting zoo and farm games will be available with a $5 pass (9 a.m. - 4 p.m.). Additionally, we will be severing a variety of strawberry themed samples at the farm market plus other local flavors.
This is our one and only u-pick strawberry festival of the year, weather permitting of course. We invite you and your family to join us for the 5th on the 5th!
The week following our festival we will team up with UG

A Extension - Hall County, to host
two strawberry preserves canning classes. We do still have seats available on May 8th and 10th. Click the canning classes photo to reserve your seats ($30/person). Hands-on learning at Jaemor Farms.
The Lord is always good. Through ups and downs,
He is always good. Thus far in 2018 we feel blessed by His hand as He has protected our peach crop through the cool temps of March and earlier this month. We believe we will be picking peaches this time next month! Please stay tuned to hear when our homegrown peaches will be available. We invite you to follow our #peachpaparazzi online as well via our
Facebook,
Instagram and
Twitter pages.
Finally,
*NEW in 2018: We are hosting weekly
PopUp Markets at various locations in North Georgia including Athens, Braselton, Gainesville, Oakwood and Winder.
