A New Year, A New Semester

With great expectation, the campus opened again this week and students returned from a slightly extended winter break. Despite the obvious challenges, I am so grateful for a whole community that shares optimism and hope for a good semester.

New Vice President

I take this opportunity to announce an addition to the President’s cabinet. I am delighted to inform our friends that Matt Payne officially takes up his duties as Vice President, Student Services.

Matt and Maggie Payne have served us with distinction over several years. As the process of institutional growth and development continues it made complete sense to me to invite Matt to join my team and serve in this area.

The change now affords us the opportunity to bring greater cohesion to enrollment management, student records, marketing, and the managing of federal financial aid. Join me in congratulating Matt.

Campus Development

I am also glad to let you know that the process of campus renewal and development is moving forward. We are planning for a busy summer.

We have three major projects that are either fully funded or are close to being funded. These include a complete refurbishment of Liechty Hall. This is a long-overdue upgrade to our women’s dorms. Additionally, we have made provisional plans for the renovation of the cafeteria and kitchen. This upgrade will make a huge difference in our daily lives.

Finally, we are planning phase 1 of a renovation of the Roy Wead Center for Education and the Arts. We need further support and many volunteers to help us get these vital projects done. If you feel you might be able to help, please be in touch with me.

My email

These two announcements represent the continued visionary development of our great College and Graduate School. At the close of this email will be some details about our annual fund-raising event. There are still some places available if you would like to join us in beautiful Charleston, SC. Thank you for your support and interest.

On behalf of the entire Trinity community, we trust that this year will be a rich and blessed year for you and yours.

For His Kingdom’s sake,

Paul R Alexander, PhD
