We hope that you are all enjoying a gentler day than Wednesday.
Due to the ongoing Covid restrictions we have had to make changes to the social events and this note is to remind you of the plans for today.
MDL Marina’s Tea & Cakes will be served in the RLYC from about 15.00. Masks must be worn until you are seated at a table of 6. Please try and organise yourselves into groups of 6 before arrival at the London Room.
The Shannon Class lifeboat will arrive from Poole at about 17.30 and will be moored on the Trinity landing with Sir Robin Knox-Johnston’s Suhaili until 20.00.
The daily prizes for first place in the races up to Thursday will be awarded from the Lifeboat at 18.45 and all prize winners and competitors will be invited in groups of 6 to a tour of the Lifeboat by the crew.
Please try and muster in groups of 30 on the Trinity Landing before receiving prizes and being invited on to the Lifeboat.
Every one will be offered a token when they visit the Lifeboat which can be redeemed at the RLYC for up to two half pints of “summer cocktail” to enjoy before dinner.
Unfortunately, the Sugar Store could not accommodate sufficient numbers this evening, so the venue has changed to the Pontoon View at Cowes Yacht Haven. The menu remains the same as Lasagne with a gluten free option and desert to follow.
We look forward to seeing you all at the prize giving and high tea on Friday in the Clubhouse and I will issue a further message with the plans for the day Friday morning.
