This monthly meeting is for Development Directors or other staff whose primary role is fundraising.  Discussion topics are generated by the group.  To learn more and for upcoming dates, please contact Meagan Niese at meaganniese@cfbmc.org.  You may also email Meagan to be added to the list serve and receive regular reminders.  Meeting times vary from month to month.

Employee Questions – Things We Don’t Talk About - Raises, Evaluations, Staff Issues
This monthly meeting is aimed towards those nonprofit staff members, paid and volunteer, for whom ‘community outreach’ is a primary job component. It’s an opportunity for colleagues to learn and share from one another’s expertise and experience in this particular area of nonprofit management. Discussion topics are generated from the group with participants volunteering to facilitate, so we invite all members to submit topics that are relevant to you and your work in the community. This month's meeting is led by Erin James Predmore, CEO of the Greater Bloomington Chamber of Commerce. There is no registration for the outreach breakfast meeting.

Help the IRA put together Narcan kits (volunteer opportunity)

Help the IRA put together thousands of naloxone kits. Naloxone is a powerful opioid reversal drug, and we distribute it freely to community members! This event will include a short naloxone training and you can take some of the kits you make with you. Volunteers do not have to attend the entire session, so feel free to arrive late or leave early!

Habitat for Humanity
Development Director
The Development Director will cultivate an opportunity for everyone, both donors and volunteers, who are interested in supporting and engaging with Habitat for Humanity of Monroe County to contribute their unique gifts. This person will develop and implement comprehensive fund development plans, maintain donor and volunteer interest and lead the HFHMC team in cultivation of key relationships with partners. The director reports directly to the CEO and is a full-time, salaried, exempt position working a minimum of 40 hours per week (and occasional nights and weekends).

Position opening - Resource Development Director
United Way of Monroe County is hiring its Resource Development Director. The full-time, salaried position is a key member of the leadership team, responsible for developing and implementing plans that provide the organization the necessary resources to achieve strategic goals. Organizational leadership is provided in the area of fundraising and donor cultivation, management of development staff and interns, implementation of best practices, and directing individual and institutional giving. This position requires working closely with individuals and companies, workplace campaign coordinators, campaign chairs and committees, Indiana University officials, and volunteers to develop necessary and desired relationships and resources.
