EMPOWERING EDUCATORS WITH DIGITAL CULTURAL HERITAGE

The Europeana MOOC Rerun “Digital Education with Cultural Heritage” delves into the educational potential of digital cultural heritage and prepares you to implement it using digital technologies. While discovering several current themes such as diversity & inclusion, blended learning, and climate change, this course will improve your understanding of digital cultural heritage to efficiently integrate it into your lessons and practices, regardless of the subject you teach. The final goal is to design engaging and deep-learning content for students, museumgoers or lifelong learners to prepare them as active and responsible citizens with key competencies to thrive in life. SCIENTIX TRANSLATION SERVICE CAMPAIGN 3

Looking for teaching resources in your own language? From 10 to 30 January, Scientix and STEM School Label invite you to vote for the most useful resource under the repository and get the chance to have your favourite one translated into 37 languages! The Translation Service Campaign 3 will focus on professionalisation of staff, one of the key elements of the STEM School Label. Read more.

STEM - IMPROVING STEM EDUCATION ACROSS EUROPEAN SCHOOLS

The project will produce free, quality-assured resources to support the teaching of science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) subjects. Additionally, students will get the opportunity to learn about STEM mentors’ profession, day-to-day activities, responsibilities, qualifications and/or experience required to secure that particular job as part of our STEM Virtual Mentoring Scheme. STEAME - SCHOOLS OF THE FUTURE

The STEAME project developed a prototype school structure design with suggested dynamic curriculum, activities, learning and creativity plans and methods, developing also a training course for training teachers on how they can work effectively and productively under a STEAME school. The last letter E added to STEAM to make it STEAME stands for Entrepreneurship so STEAME is “Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Mathematics and Entrepreneurship”. The entrepreneurial mindset and skills are among the necessary components so creativity in STEAM can be transferred into applications for society at large. Read more.

The Scientix STEM School Label
The Scientix STEM School Label has important news to share for schools ready to improve their STEM School Strategies. Currently, over 2,600 schools are working on their STEM strategies, of which 700+ have obtained a Competent label, 10 a Proficient label, and 3 an Expert Label!

In this regard, Šiauliai kindergarten "Pasaka" has worked towards and obtained their Expert Label through constant efforts and professionalism of its staff. Congratulations and keep up the good work!
Scientix webinar

This webinar was organised by STE(A)M IT, STEM Alliance and Scientix projects. The guest speaker Jorge Sottomaior, teacher at EPRAMI (one of the Microsoft Showcase School), talked about his experience implementing a factory in the classroom to foster students' interest towards STEM Careers.
