Since our opening over 10 years ago, our mission has been to provide a dynamic and ever changing inventory of yarn and supplies, and to constantly strive to meet our customer’s needs. We have heard, especially in recent years, from many of our customers, that Haus of Yarn needs to expand to other areas of Nashville. “When are you going to open a store in Hendersonville?” “We would love a yarn store like Haus of Yarn in Mount Juliet.” “Clarksville really needs a local yarn store.” “ East Nashville needs yarn!”

You asked. We listened.

We are incredibly excited to share our news with you. Haus of Yarn is going mobile! As you read this email, our bus is being built. We are ordering yarn. We are selecting and knitting new shop models. We will be serving a need within our knitting and crochet community for exciting yarn opportunities - you can break free of the big box stores! And with this, we need your help.

Where should the YARN BUS go?

With so many Middle Tennessee yarn store closings, we want to come to you. Please let us know if your community could use a yarn store, even if for just one day a month! We would love to create a reciprocal relationship with another locally owned business, like a coffee shop or restaurant. We can send hungry and thirsty knitters and crocheters your way, in exchange for a couple of parking spaces. Please let us know if you are a business owner, or know of a business that would be interested! Or maybe you have a knitting group that meets at a church or community center that would like to host the bus for the day.

If your community currently has a Local Yarn Store, we have no plans to come to those areas. It is important to us that you continue to support your LYS if you are lucky enough to have one!

We are so excited about this, and with your help we can create the mobile store of your dreams. We’ve started a thread on Ravelry in the Haus Knitters Group. Please click here to go to the discussion thread and share your suggestions!
Every Thursday night from 5:00pm - 7:00pm is Knit Night! Everyone is welcome, so bring your knitting and crochet projects and meet new people!
Threads of Kindness is in need of knitters and crocheters! This is a group dedicated to making handmade items for donation to Alive Hospice. Go to the Ravelry Group to find out how to help.

Spring cleaning your stash? Threads of Kindness can use your cotton or acrylic yarns for baby hats and blankies. You can drop of donations at Haus of Yarn. No wool or wool blends, please.
