welcome to subtext
A community focused monthly newsletter from your friends at BassBus
Since the beginning, BassBus has focused on building community in Calgary and beyond through the vehicle of arts and culture. Our network has grown so much over the years that in order to support, portray, and display the creators in our community, we need another tool.

Enter SubText. Beyond producing and executing inspiring and inclusive events, BassBus will now feature event listings curated for arts and culture, interviews with local and international performers and artists, local and global music reviews, and anything else that you, the community, need to know about.

If there is something you'd like us to consider featuring, please email editor@bassbus.ca. Above all, keep creating, keep experiencing, and keep embracing the creativity and vibrancy in Calgary and beyond.

Anyone with a young one knows that children tend to skew the films, music, and other art in a household in a decidedly… juvenile direction. If you’ve got a baby in tow but you still love high art, the Glenbow Museum has the perfect morning event for you.

Kusama: Infinity  @ Glenbow Museum
April 24 (Art Baby Art) and 28 The Glenbow museum is catering to art-focused parents with young children two years of age and under, so if you’re the type to watch art films, documentaries, or any other cutting edge fare and you’re tired of repeating kids’ shows and music on repeat, this morning affair is for you! The entire environment is geared to be baby friendly and with snacks and drinks available local bakery Soy Milk & Vinegar, it’s hard to imagine a better marriage of high art, family focus, and a lovely date day for the parents.
