Students sponsored to attend Summit

RDA Sunshine Coast is sponsoring six students to attend this week's Australian Smart Communities Summit in Caloundra. The students will join about 150 delegates, speakers, sponsors and exhibitors who will showcase smart solutions and stimulate discussion about how to think smarter to benefit Australia's communities.

Infrastructure grants closing soon

Applications for Round Three of the National Stronger Regions Fund (NSRF) close on 15 March. 
The NSRF supports a range of infrastructure initiatives which can range from transport projects to the development of sports and community facilities. The Guidelines for the National Stronger Regions Fund detail the type of project proposals sought, how to lodge an application, how assessments will be conducted, and critical program dates.

The Sunshine Coast has been identified as one of 600+ ‘lifestyle towns’ which are expected to harness fast broadband to allow residents to work from home, minimise commute times and increase their quality of living. Read more about the Super Connected Lifestyle Locations Report commissioned by nbn.

Find out how innovation can get your business moving to where you want it to go in these two Change the Future workshops on Thursday 3 March. You’ll learn about business model challenges, innovation strategies, how to harness innovative ideas and how to implement them.

Bursaries now open for Queensland women

Applications for the 2016 National Council of Women of Queensland bursaries are now open with 26 bursaries on offer. The bursaries assist with educational expenses for Queensland women and are available in many fields. Queensland women from Year 12, to TAFE, bachelor degree, Masters and PhD levels may be eligible to apply.


Open to school students in Grades 10-12. Entries close
14 March.

iAwards is the premier technology awards platform in Australia which recognises the achievements and innovation made in ICT across all facets of the economy. The iAwards honours both companies at the cutting edge of technology innovation as well as leading professionals across the ICT industry. Nominations close at 6pm AEST on Thursday 31 March 2016.
