Cooking Demonstration with
Najmieh Batmanglij

A new feature of Tirgan, this year we’re excited to present the cooking demonstration by Najmieh Batmanglij. Ms. Batmanglij is an Iranian-American award-winning cook-book author and chef. Her first cook-book Ma Cuisine D'Iran was published in 1984 in France. Batmanglij has appeared on The Martha Stewart Show and has written five cookbooks including: From Persian to Napa, Wine at the Persian Table and Silk Road Cooking: A Vegetarian Journey.

Sepideh Raissadat

Sepideh was the first female vocalist to have a solo public performance in Iran after the 1979 revolution. She recorded her first album with Master Parviz Meshkatian at the age of eighteen. She has been invited by prestigious institutions and international media such the UNESCO, the Vatican, BBC and RA. Sepideh has had numerous performances in Europe, notably with Italian musicians, Franco Battiato, Andrea Parodi and Maraghi Ensemble.

Shahrokh Moshkin Ghalam

Shahrokh Moshkin Ghalam is an Iranian choreographer, actor, director and modern dancer trained and based in Paris. His choreography style is usually based on Persian classical music that brings Persian myths, poetry, and dance together to create an atmosphere of magical quality. He has performed in various countries and attended international festivals such as the International Dance Festival in Boulder Colorado, Festival Meridas, and Festival d'Asturias.
