FCIA Hike Invite and Update for July 2013

hike and practice this saturday!

One of my goals for this autumn is to hike Sourdough Mountain (view from its peak above). Some of you may know this one. It's among the most arduous but spectacularly rewarding hikes in the Washington Cascades. My goal is to go the beginning of October so I'm getting in shape for it now, in part, by hiking some challenging local trails.
This Saturday, I'll be heading up the Pine and Cedar lakes trail around 8am and welcome any of  you to join me. At the top, there will be ample time for some Tai Chi practice, meditation, lunch, whatever you like and we'll be back before noon(ish). It should be a lot of fun and hiking is actually awesome Tai Chi practice! If you'd like to come, give a shout so I will know to wait for you in the parking lot. (318-4433)

other reminders...

The Bowen Island Tai Chi Retreat is filling up for August 10 and 11. I encourage anyone who is interested to take advantage of this fun and educational event. The people who attend these are awesome and it will be hosted by Jan Parker, a good friend and excellent teacher! Plus, tuition is by donation so affordable on anyone's budget. Contact me for more info or to possibly share a ride or... contact Jan directly at

Friday Evening Pushing Hands is still going strong... We have a core group that gathers at Elizabeth Park between 5-5:30 near the gazebo. Practice lasts about an hour or so and a good time is had by all... Everyone is welcome

At the office: Beginning July 22nd, I will be accepting new clients for Solution Based Hypnotherapy. This approach to inner work is both healing and revitalizing. It is also an effective tool for achieving your important goals and aspirations in life. I look forward to sharing this new modality with you as we continue to embrace our greater potential and well being. Sessions via Skype or phone are also available. Call (360) 318-4433 if you have any questions or to schedule an appointment. I'll be posting more information on my website soon...

That's all for now... wishing everyone an enjoyable, productive summer and happy practicing!
