This is just a short check in to update you about some changes to the SCBC Board of Directors.
Leaving Directors . . .
Due to other commitments, two of our board members have recently decided to leave the SCBC Board of Directors. Thomas Lauer has left his position as Treasurer, but we will continue to work closely with him in our partnership with the Richmond Olympic Oval. Thomas will also continue to be involved in organizing the competition belayer training program. Peter McNamee has left his position as Past-President. The SCBC Board of Directors wishes to thank Thomas and Peter for their hard work on behalf of sport climbing athletes in our province.
New Director . . .
Sport Climbing British Columbia is pleased to welcome Mark Husken to the Board of Directors. Mark ran in the BOD elections earlier this year. He has a background in finance and a wide athletic experience that involves competing, coaching and officiating in sports ranging from alpine skiing and field hockey to sailing and wrestling. We look forward to having Mark on the SCBC Board of Directors.
