Dear Member ,
Building on my previous briefing on the recent work on our Clubhouse, after the volunteer weekend at the start of July 2019, I would like to update you all on the Club refurbishments so far:
We have installed a disabled toilet where the Member's Bar gents toilet was situated. This allows us to improve our current disabled facilities, giving us preliminary access to future grant applications and of course to support our community. We have also built a laundry room between the referees changing room and the old bath /shower area, to allow us to launder the team kits. This weekend we painted the Member's bar in total , totally cleaned the bath and shower area, and completed the weeding of the car park.
A massive thanks to all the volunteers who gave their time this Saturday and those tradesmen involved in the two major building projects, namely Steve Denholm, Paul Cross and Colin Clark.
We have spent nearly £5000 on these refurbishments so far, so please look after our facilities going forward (recognizing we are a rugby club), as we must use our funds economically. The next phase of our refurbishments will involve the movement of the kitchen to the Member's bar with the old kitchen being converted into a gents toilet. It is also likely that we will replace the flooring and the furniture in the main bar area, in the near future.
Thanks one again to all of you who volunteered this last weekend and please continue to support the Club, through the above and future changes.
