Learn more about becoming your church’s representative in the first-time ever, province-wide 1Life FOUNDATIONS cohort, on-line, happening monthly from October - April.
You’ll hear about the hopeful purpose & the spiritually rich approach of the 6 evening workshops being prepared by the 1Life curators, together with Resonate church planting leader, Pastor Tim Sheridan.
Our goal: at least one participant per BC CRC. Spread the word and help us make this a 41 church conversation!
Target Audience: anyone interested in maturing in holistic Christian discipleship and helping their community do the same; great learning opportunity for any leadership team

Noah Stolte’s Childhood Battle with Cancer; part 1
Join us for the first episode of Season 2 in which Noah Stolte, the intrepid new podcast editor, shares with us his part one of his long, beautiful, and tragic story in which he battles with cancer twice before the age of 18, and sees God show up in ordinary and surprising ways.

Circle of Grace Training
Wednesday, October 12 @ 7:30 pm - 9:30 pm
Participants in this workshop will learn about the Circle of Grace curriculum. This curriculum teaches children and youth how being created in the image of God shapes all our relationships and is designed to help children and youth engage in conversations about healthy ways to be in relationship with others. This curriculum is promoted by Safe Church Ministry CRCNA.

Bible Discovery Workshop
Monday, October 17 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm
As we come out of a pandemic, consider the opportunities that are available as people in our neighbourhoods are searching for truth and direction in these challenging times. Could this be an opportunity for the church to reach out, and to welcome the seeker? Discover Your Bible resources embrace the concept of hospitality, and use questions and conversation to help participants discover what the Bible says and means.

Becoming a Restorative Congregation
Friday, November 4 - Saturday, November 5
This training will introduce ministry leaders to a practical framework and theological vision for growing and leading restorative congregations. Participants will learn how to design and facilitate listening circles while incorporating restorative practices to enrich interpersonal relationships, small groups, teams and congregational life.

Deacon’s Ministry 101
Facilitated by Rachel Vroege (Regional Ministry Developer – Diaconal Ministries West), over 20 Deacons recently gathered online to reflect on how God has equipped them for this role in their local church.
Participants also considered the unique gifts, knowledge, and skills they each bring to the leadership table of their deacon team and church councils. We were reminded once again that deacons are energetic, knowledgeable, and excited to lean into the mission God has for their congregation.
