Scholarships Applications Ready to Download - IRA Rollover Extended
View this email in your browser
We received word today that President Obama signed the bill extending the IRA Charitable Rollover through 2014. This means that individuals who are 70 1/2 or older, and are required to take a mandatory distribution from their Traditional IRA may contribute up to $100,000 of that distribution to a favorite 501(C)(3) nonprofit organization (but not to a donor-advised fund).

By making such a contribution, the donor doesn't have to pay income tax on the distribution and his or her gift helps a deserving charity.  This is just one way that a Traditional IRA can benefit nonprofit organizations.

The Eastern West Virginia Community can help you establish an endowed fund for your favorite charity, so that a gift to our organization will benefit another nonprofit in perpetuity. If you'd like to learn more call Felicia or Michael at 304-264-0353 or email Michael.
