Scottish Communities Climate Action Network

Hello!

Annual General Meeting/Spring Gathering and
Three Horizons facilitation training day - 6/7th April, Perth.

The 2016 AGM of Scottish Communities Climate Action Network will take place at 1.30pm on Wednesday 6th April at Salutation Hotel in Perth.
This will be preceded by a slow-food lunch (in the Cittaslow town of Perth) at 12.30pm.
Following the AGM, the rest of the afternoon will be focussed on the latest draft of our three-year strategy, and particularly on the objective of ensuring the physical and psychological wellbeing of individuals who are involved with the demanding work of community-led climate action.
We will be exploring the question of how we can do better at providing each other with mutual support, for example, through buddy systems, coaching circles and mentoring. The afternoon will be an opportunity to participate in and experience a range of group coaching activities, including coaching circles, case clinics, action learning sets –and anything else that you would like to share. The intention is for all of us to leave with some new personal support in place.
The AGM is particularly important this year as we will be considering a resolution to dissolve our current unincorporated association and invite our member organisations to join the Scottish Communities CAN  Community Interest Company.
The lunch and afternoon workshop are FREE for representatives of member organisations.

Training Workshop in Facilitation Skills and Three Horizons with Tony Hodgson from International Futures Forum. Thursday 7th April 2016, Salutation Hotel, Perth.
Restricted to 12 people only, this is an exciting opportunity to work with Tony Hodgson from International Futures Forum to discuss and learn generic facilitation skills and, specifically, how best to facilitate group-based, strategic action planning for community resilience using the Three Horizons model.
Some of you will have been introduced to the Three Horizons model at our 2015 Spring Gathering. International Futures Forum has found this simple model to be a powerful and flexible framework for use in workshop settings and for deeper analysis of barriers and solutions. More here: http://www.internationalfuturesforum.com/world-model-three-horizons   Sets of Three Horizons materials will be available for loan.
Overnight accommodation is included for people attending both the AGM/Gathering on the 6th April and the Training Workshop.  We are able to offer this at the subsidised cost of £100 inclusive.

Scottish Communities Climate Action Network - Membership Information

Membership of Scottish Communities CAN has grown over the years, and we've noticed that some of our original members are a bit hard to contact - perhaps the group has disbanded, or email addresses have changed. We've asked all Members to provide a second email contact, and refresh their project description, and 45 out of 123 members have done so.
We want to communicate in the way that works for our members, so please tell us what that is!
This survey invites you to update your contact information, and asks what you can do to help other community groups or how other community groups can help you.
It should only take around 5 minutes to complete - thank you.
