The Order of Things
Exhibition Seminar

The Wilson, Cheltenham

Thursday 2 March, 18:30
Booking required. click here

This exhibition features 13 international artists working in the field of abstraction.
The seminar will amplify and explore the idea that current forms of non-representational art are necessarily outward looking and reflexive. Art practices are increasingly employing more interactive and kinetic forms, crossing boundaries with science, social and political engagement, and the aesthetics and ethics of materiality.

The discussion will reflect on the ways in which the social, political and material nature of things, are mediated through what we assume we are seeing.
Confirmed seminar contributors: curators Andrew Bick, Jonathan Parsons & Katie Pratt, artist A K Dolven, and Dr Jo Melvin (Reader at UAL Chelsea).
