The Colorado Montessori Association is a powerful voice for Montessori advocacy providing a forum for networking and professional growth in the Montessori community. It is a highly functioning, evolving professional organization, unified in its vision, respectful, purposeful and inclusive.
Colorado Montessori Association is here to support Montessori schools, educators and teachers in Colorado. One of the things we do to help is advocacy.
To continue helping you with issues, we have sent our board member, Nina (chair of the advocacy committee) to the Montessori Public Policy Initiative's State Advocacy Retreat in Washington, DC this week.
Stay tuned for her report and our advocacy plan.
First Annual Montessori Artist Gathering for Peace
Thank you to everyone who came out for our first Montessori Artist Gathering for Peace. Thank you to Sonnie McFarland and Gina Abegg. Thank you to Maggie Stewart for volunteering to display her amazing art work. IT was a great time and we hope to see you all next year!!!
Thank you
Lyn Mead has kept meticulous records of CMA membership for years.  She created the first Google Map showing member schools, then updated as needed, and finally served as treasurer when we needed to fill that position.  We couldn't have managed without her!  As she steps off the CMA board, we know she won't be going far, and will continue to support Montessori educators in Colorado in many ways.  Thank you, Lyn!
