THIS WEEKEND: Celebrate and Support Youth Artists!

We're turning the studio into a Pop-Up Shop! Stop in this Saturday, August 24 from 1-4pm to support some of our youth artists who will be either showing or selling their work.

In addition, we'll have coloring books and ice cream floats for sale to support our mission to illuminate youth as leaders while inspiring creativity, courage, and collaboration throughout the whole community.

We'll be able to help with credit card transactions, but come prepared with cash so you can buy from artists directly.

Check out our Facebook event to RSVP and share with your network! Know any youth artists who would like to participate? We still have space for a couple more folks to sign-up here by Wednesday.

ARTISTS WANTED: Apply now for our Fall Residency!

Artists-In-Residence infuse our studio with their own creative stylings and influence by facilitating formal Creative Labs and providing informal creative mentorship during Open Studio hours. This position supports the overall culture of Courageous heARTS by creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere that ensures our studio remains a positive, accepting and brave space for personal exploration and creative risk-taking.

We are now seeking applications for our Fall residency, running from October-December. Artists are expected to facilitate approximately 40 hours of instruction over our 12 week session. Creative Labs can occur as one-time workshops or multi-session series, and will be scheduled collaboratively between the artist and heARTS management.

All the details about the position and the application are located on our website. Please feel free to share this opportunity with others in your network! Applications are due August 25.

 Color Me Courageous: Editions 1 & 2

Our first annual coloring book featuring Twin Cities landmarks drawn by our youth artists is on sale now! You can purchase online to be shipped anywhere in the world - or stop by the studio to pick up your copy.  Not only is this the perfect gift for family and friends, but you'll be supporting the contributing youth artists and our Creative Community Apprenticeship.

If you aren't interested in purchasing a copy for yourself, you can double your impact instead by donating $20 to heARTS. We'll then pass it forward by donating a copy to one of three nonprofits doing good in the Twin Cities: Ronald McDonald House, Cornerstone, and Perspectives Inc.

Call For Youth Artists: Workshops for the next edition of Color Me Courageous will occur in October. Youth who are interested in participating are required to attend one of two workshops that will be held Saturday, Oct 5 or Sunday, Oct. 13 from 1-4pm. Workshops are free to attend but limited to 12 participants. Reserve a spot now by clicking the date above.
