The Mount Alexander Sustainability Group celebrates 10 years

Thanks to everyone that attended MASG's AGM and 10 Year Celebration last Thursday.

A particular thanks to Terry White who inspired us all talking about 'C' group ideas, and looking at MASG through the lens of the past 10 years of projects.

There have been so many clever, creative, collaborative, and courageous people involved over the years, and many of them were in the room.

The AGM was an opportunity to acknowledge Neil and Heather Barrett who were the champions behind MASG’s beginnings, and also Michael Lewin for his extraordinary commitment to MASG as Chair over these past 2 years.

You can read more about MASG’s past and current projects on the website here:

Community Energy Congress 27 & 28 Feb 2017

'The C4CE Community Energy Congress is the premier event in Australia’s community energy calendar. It is driven by the desire for people to work together to develop and deliver sustainable, locally owned energy projects. Congress 2017 will bring together up to 800 people to strengthen the budding community energy sector.

Together we will share information, develop skills, foster new networks, celebrate success and plan for action. Grassroots energy enterprises, which number more than 80 nation-wide, harness the power of communities to increase local energy security, bolster regional development partnerships, enhance community cohesion, reduce carbon emissions and work towards a just energy transition.'

For more info head to the congress website here.

If you are interested in attending, MASG are coordinating a group booking, in order to pass on a 10% discount.

Please email Melissa at the MASG office if you would like to book your place:
