The Mount Alexander Sustainability Group celebrates 10 years
On Thursday the 24th November, The Mount Alexander Sustainability Group (MASG) is hosting its 2016 AGM at the Castlemaine Bowling Club, and would like to invite all current and previous members and supporters to celebrate the people and projects that have contributed to the past 10 years of MASG’s local legacy.
Terry White who has been behind regional organisations such as MASG, The Central Victorian Greenhouse Alliance, and the Goldfield’s Sustainability Group (Maryborough) will take us through the highlights of MASG’s past 10 years.
Natalie Dillon from 3 Fish clothing will also talk later in the evening about the fair trade clothing industry, and how business can partner with communities to create sustainable futures.
The MASG team will also share a snapshot of current major projects, including: $100,000 New Energy Jobs Funding announcement for the local Waste to Energy Project, Medium and Large Scale Solar Farms Project, Wash Against Waste: The Next Generation Trailer developments, and MASG’s toxic waste recycling and mapping project.
The AGM kicks off at 6pm, with speakers at 7pm. The bar will be open with the cheapest craft beer and local wine in Castlemaine, and dinner will also be available.
