We have not yet reached our goal though, and still need your support. Any amount is greatly appreciated, whether it is $5, $20, $100, our suggested ask of $600, or any amount in between.

Every donation makes a difference for your students to keep the essential programs Can Do! funds.  Plus, you may pay in one payment or spread them out monthly!

A MAGICAL FRIDAY AT VALLECITO!  

What a magical Friday it was (literally) at Vallecito Elementary. 🪄 As a thank you for achieving 65% of VAL families contributing to the Family Giving Campaign by the end of our Classroom Giving Challenge, Can Do! arranged for Magician, Chris Britt, to treat the students to a special magic show. Chris had them oohing and aahing in their seats and even taught a magic trick that students can use to impress their friends and family. Thank you to all of the families who have donated this school year. We could not do what we do for our students without your support!



We look forward to him dazzling the students at Lucas Valley on April 15th! 

Did you know that Can Do! funds all of the lunchtime and after school clubs at MCMS?  

Last week Can Do! funded LEAD and Honor Society hosted a bake sale to raise money for the Red Cross's humanitarian effort in Ukraine. An incredible $800 will go to this worthy cause!
Can Do! is so proud of these amazing Panthers!


 

ART SPECIALIST SPOTLIGHT

Celebrating Women's History Month through Art

2nd grade and 3rd graders at Vallecito who’ve been reading the works of poets Amanda Gorman and Maya Angelou in class, created art inspired by Paul Klee’s painting and poem, “Once Emerged from the Gray of Night” with Can Do! funded Art Specialist, Mr. Jamie Newman

    

Kinders and 1st graders at VAL celebrated Georgia O’Keefe and her Poppies


While 4th and 5th graders celebrated abstract artists Joan Mitchell and Lee Krasner, and their influence on the abstract movement of the 1950’s and ‘60’s
