We are looking forward to meeting you at the “Value in the Classic Car Market†conference, at Dartmouth College October 6/7 2014.
If you have not done so PLEASE REGISTER via email to secure your place, this includes paying the registration fee, thank you. If you can not attend or intend to bring additional people please let us know, thank you.
At least six cars will be exhibited at the conference to illustrate both the diversity of the market and various value drivers. Some examples are:
- Classic Mercedes-Benz
- Toyota 2000 GT
- Pre-war Bugatti Grand Prix car
- Porsche 911 ‘barn find’
- Gulf Ford Mirage Le Mans race car
Car exhibit #1: The Toyota 2000 GT.
Different value drivers can influence car values at various times. One example to be discussed at the conference is this highly original 1967 Toyota 2000 GT. It is owned by Peter Starr and Bob Tkacik who are also co-authors of the benchmark book on the ‘2000 GT, Japan’s First Supercar’. Having said that, it will not be a 'sales pitch' for this model. Positive as well as negative influences on value will be discussed. Other than value aspects Peter and Bob will be able to give us a technical and historic summary, while VCCM attendants are able to view the car.
The other exhibits will be introduced in our forthcoming weekly newsletter for the conference.
Accomodation: October can be busy in new Hampshire so please book your hotel now.
We recommend two hotels in Hanover: The Hanover Inn, see below,
As well as Six South Street, see below.
Both hotels are very close to each other (2 min walking)
Both Hotels are equally nice in our opinion.
The Hannover Inn is practical because it is conference venue and closer to the Dartmouth Campus.
Prices are somewhat lower at Six South Street.
Please mention the Conference Value in the Classic Car Market when booking at either hotel. Special rates have been negotiated for conference participants.
