If you didn't get as many Christmas cards as you expected from villagers, this might be the explanation...This list as published in our window and via the Tour de Sands email list but due to my own personal incompetence and seasonal befuddlement I omitted to send it to all on this "Whats on the Hill" list. Apologies, but thanks to all who joined in, we have raised £550 for Tour de Sands.
Thanks and Happy New Year, Tim Nicol
Advance dates for your new 2020 diaries:

May 8th VE Day
May Day is traditionally held on a Monday but will be put back to Friday 8th  May 2020. VE Day, or Victory in Europe Day, marks the day towards the end of World War Two when fighting against Nazi Germany came to an end in Europe. The holiday will form part of a three-day weekend of commemorative events nationally and a small team is planning some events in Easton on the Bank Holiday Friday.

May 22-25th Easton Gala
The Annual Village Gala will as usual be held over the weekend of the late May Bank Holiday, which this year runs from Friday 22nd May- Monday 25th. Planning will start in January with a meeting on Monday 20th Jan at 7.00pm in the Blue Bell. All village groups who wish to participate are asked to send a representative, and anyone who would like to lend a hand in whatever capacity is asked to either attend or drop me an email with any preference for their “roles and responsibilities”.

No Bluebell pub quiz in January.

"Communicare" is the newsletter of the Wansford GP Surgery, published by Wendy Spencer, who also publishes the Yarwell News. In future we may just publish a summary of Communicare here, but this month you can read the full version below and catch up with other local news from Yarwell here: Yarwell News January 2020
This issue does contain some very useful information about our local Care and Repair service which helps to keep people independent in their own homes.
