Another reason to join
act. now!
One of the major drivers behind Community 21's quest to raise capital is to match the investment of Bendigo Bank in the development and implementation of the act. crowdfunding and banking platform.

This platform, unique in the world in combining banking and crowdfunding, was launched last week and is already kicking goals, funding projects and allowing not-for-profits to further engage their supporter base.

What is unique about act.?

act. is a fresh, new way of banking - for good.
act. gives you the opportunity to earn and donate banking profits to a whole range of inspiring, community-focused projects - simply by doing something you already do everyday.

act. is banking with heart.
And it's simple. As soon as you open a bank account with act., you receive a free Impact Account. Every time you do your banking, you earn Impact Dollars in this account.

You can then allocate these Impact Dollars to any of the projects featured on the act. website. You can choose where your donations go, how much, and how often.

Get your not-for-profit project funded.
act. also works in reverse. If you’re currently involved with an inspiring project with the power to make positive change and have a committed following, we’d love to consider adding your project to the world of act.!

Counting down

Since the last newsletter, we've had a number of confirmations from both existing and potential shareholders about their intention to apply for shares under the current offer.

We’re getting more and more excited by the enthusiasm the not-for-profit movement has shown about the share offer.

We now have less than a month to reach our minimum subscription level of $1.8 million and we’re accepting applications from a diverse group of organisations, large and small.

Don’t let your organisation miss out on this opportunity to get in early and be part of the wave of innovation.

Tick Tick Tick, the time is NOW!

Latest applicant, an innovation leader

We are very excited to announce that our latest applicant is none other than information communication technology specialist for the sector - Infoxchange.

Infoxchange is a not-for-profit community organisation that delivers technology for social justice. They work to strengthen communities and organisations, using information technology, to create positive social change.

Infoxchange was recently one of the lucky winners of the google community prize - winning $500,000 towards developing a smart phone app for people experiencing homelessness.

Community 21 is rapt to have such a sector-leading organisation apply to be a shareholder. We think this is a match made in heaven (or in 'the cloud' anyways).

New director brings a wealth of understanding

Our 2014 AGM heralded a new board member in Tracy Howe, the CEO of Council of Social Service of NSW (NCOSS).

Tracy is a legally trained advocate with a commitment to human rights, addressing community disadvantage and gender inequality. She comes to Community 21's board with in depth experience in areas such as family violence and dual diagnosis.

The directors expressed their gratitude to outgoing director, Jackie Parkinson, for all her hard work and enthusiasm and wished her well for her future endeavours.
