Fearrington Farmers' Market
every Tuesday, rain or shine
current hours: 3:00-5:00 pm

Are you a sweet or savory breakfast fan?

I do love a good stack of pancakes, but these chilly mornings call for something a little heartier.  Veggies are sparse on the farm in February, though... so what to do?  Enter the breakfast burrito.  A simple tortilla wrap, loaded up with whatever you have on hand -- it's warming, filling, and portable?!  Perfect.

You can still find eggs and meats at the market throughout the winter, or use diced, roasted sweet potatoes as a base.  Dress it up with some wilted kale, diced greenhouse tomatoes, maybe some bell peppers you stashed in the freezer when they were so abundant at the end of the summer?  Here's a recipe for bacon, kale, and sweet potato burritos, and for the vegetarians in the crowd, try kale and mushrooms.

Hi folks,
Let's hope this Tuesday is not nearly as windy or cold as last week! I am so glad we all decided to continue the Fearrington market through the winter, and I am so glad you keep coming out rain or shine!
I will bring new cookies this week. I won't make any official announcement as it's hard sometimes to keep my promises, but I will try to bring you a lovely little cake made with a super moist almond cake, some clementine marmalade I made, a crunchy cookie base, and a mirror icing.

Some of you will be thrilled to see the apple tart back on the site! As for Valentine's, I wish I could offer something to you by Tuesday but it won't be ready by then. You can order it for pickup at my place in Chapel Hill on Saturday, or celebrate next Tuesday when I can indeed bring it to you.
As always, looking forward to your friendly faces,
see you at the market,
