Beechcrest Farm will have the usual good supply of steaks, brats, a roast, and of course stew meat and soup bones. We will also bring some flanks and skirts for those wanting to try something different! On the pork side, a piggie 'went to market' so we will have chops, two tenderloins, a ~4 lb roast perfect for BBQ in the crock pot, etc. Let me know ahead of time if you're interested in a skin-on picnic! He'll have baby hakurei turnips, beets, bok choy, celery, chives, dandelion greens, escarole, fennel, garlic, kale, leeks, mustard greens, rainbow chard, scallions, sweet potatoes, and possibly a few more surprises.

We offer an array of pasture-raised chicken and forest-raised pork. All animals are raised outdoors (eating all the grass, bugs, and grubs they can find) and given non-GMO feed.
This week we have:
Chicken: whole chickens, wings drumsticks, thighs, bone-in breast, boneless/skinless breast, hearts, livers, backs, and feet.
Pork: chops, various roasts (only two left), and sausage (mild and chorizo links). No bacon till the end of the month. Wanna try something new? We have one 9.5 pound whole boneless pork loin roast! With the holidays coming up this will be a treat. Or thaw it, chop it up and repackage in small freezer bags and have pork for a while!

We will be picking more beans for market this week. There were a lot of requests last week for our Italian flat beans, so we will be sure to have some of those along with more "green" beans and maybe wax beans if we get a chance to pick all three. We seeded beans five times this late summer hoping for a long harvest period into the fall. Our new planting of arugula is ready, so we will be picking lots of that. We will have a good supply of sweet peppers (bells and Anaheim style that are great for stuffing) along with several types of spicy peppers.
There will be a rack full of mixed bouquets, a bucket of colorful zinnias and hopefully a bucket of glads (we are waiting on our final planting of those to start blooming). And there will be eggs from our pastured hens.

We are looking at another gorgeous weather day for this upcoming market, which makes me very happy.
I'm adding a really fun chocolate cake to the site, one made with rice crispy treats and potato chips...yes, you read that right, potato chips! trust me, it all comes together nicely. So far everyone who's tried it has labeled it delicious. Who am I to question their judgment?
I'm also making fresh macarons. Some new flavors such as chestnut and vanilla rum have made the cut for this round, but I'm keeping the pistachio candied blood orange, pear/lychee, coconut lemongrass, and raspberry aji dulce peppers. Still have multi-layer hazelnut chocolate cake on the site, as well as lemon cream cheese and cassis mousse cake, apple cinnamon, and cherry vanilla!
