Angelina's Kitchen
Hello fabulous Fearrington Market supporters!
It looks like I played it too safe last week and missed a wonderful day at market. I apologize, but we'll be there this coming Tuesday !!
The pot pies were a big hit at the shop so we'll be making them again this week: both Haw River mushroom and Cliff's chicken. Some pot pies will be baked off and ready to eat - some will be frozen for you to bake when you want. We'll also have soup - our lentils and our avgolemono.
For your sweet tooth we're bringing some baklava.
Thank you so much for your support - we appreciate it!

We are back from our glorious 2-week vacation- it was cold and rainy for a good part of our trip north and that was just fine with us. We had told folks that we were heading for cooler weather, but we had no idea that long-johns would be required! Thankfully, we were prepared for the cold temperatures we experienced while in the Adirondack mountains.
There is a new bed of arugula ready and we will have a cooler full at market this week. Also the fall greens are gorgeous and ready to harvest- we will have bunches of kale and collard greens this week.
The pepper field is looking awesome- we will have lots of lovely red and yellow bell peppers, 3 varieties of sweet Anaheim-style peppers perfect for salads or grilling, and we will have some spicy varieties as well. The eggplants are also proving to be very abundant- look for baskets of oriental and globe varieties.
We will have a cooler full of frozen Freedom Ranger chicken; we will have whole birds and all of your favorite cuts. These birds are raised on pasture so they get plenty of exercise which means they develop great flavor. They get moved every day to ensure they have fresh forage and a clean environment. We will also have some eggs -- Jumbo, Large, Mediums and Pullet-sized.
We will also have a rack full of colorful mixed bouquets. Plan on taking home some "local color" this week.
looking forward to seeing everyone,
