The Barking Bedlie

Hi all!

This week The Barking Bedlie is debuting a new addition to our dog treat line up: sweet potato chips!  They're yummy, crunchy deliciousness.  Stop on by and check them out.

If you're not sure which treat your dog will like best, bring your four-legged friend by for a sample.

Beechcrest Farm will be there!  We will have the usual good supply of ground beef, steaks, and bacon.  Many of you have started stews and soups, and we'll have the beef for those.  Also several dozen eggs.  Hopefully this will be the last of the hot weather markets, looking forward to fall!  See you Tuesday.
 
Bold Bagels will be at the market with plenty of bagels for sale.

Off Grid in Color is your local Meat Boutique offering quality meat that is sustainably raised with love, mother earth, and you in mind.

We offer an array of pasture-raised chicken and forest-raised pork. All animals are raised outdoors (eating all the grass, bugs, and grubs they can find) and given non-GMO feed. 
 
This week we have drumsticks, thighs, bone-in breast, boneless/skinless breast, hearts and livers! No pork till mid-September. Pre-orders are strongly recommended and due by Monday at 9pm using this link.

Perry-winkle Farm

We will have a cooler of arugula and a cooler full of basil at market this week.  We will have both 1/2 pound bags for those folks wanting to make some pesto and we will have some smaller bags.  What is the best way to store the basil without it turning black?  We recommend closing the basil bag so it is airtight, and then leave it on your counter or somewhere that is cool and out of the sun.  
 
We are now down to 2 golden flesh potatoes: Huckleberry Gold and Bintje, along with our red-skinned, pink flesh Terra Rosa.  It's been a great potato season, it's a bit sad to see the "potato barn" emptying out, but very gratifying to experience your support and business.  Terra Rosa was the last variety harvested and we will have a good supply of them for another month or so. 
 
Another round of glads is blooming, so look for those along with a bucket of colorful zinnias.  We will have sunflower bunches and lots of mixed bouquets on the flower rack.  And there will be some eggs from our pastured hens.

Red Roots Farm will be at market this week with butternut squash, lunchbox peppers, okra, jalapeños, sweet potato greens, and a limited amount of first-cut arugula.
 
Screech Owl Greenhouses will be back at market this week! We will have an assortment of lettuce and herbs.
 
Our new tomato crop is thriving, and we should be harvesting tomatoes just before Thanksgiving. The new cucumber crop will be ready in a few weeks!

Sour Bakery will be at market on Tuesday.

Breads we will have are: Classic Sour, Whole Wheat, Brioche loaf, Cinnamon Raisin, Olive, Jalapeño Cheddar and Salted Rosemary.
 
For pastries we will have: Classic Croissant, Chocolate Croissant, Caramel Sugar Sticks, Apple Pull Apart, Crackers (Za’atar, Classic, Rosemary, Onion Cheddar, Black Pepper Parmesan, Everything, Herb Garden, Roadhouse) and Scones (Ginger Blueberry, Triple Ginger, Apple Oat Pecan, Lavender Lemon Curd).

T5-Farms will not be at market this week.  We plan to be back next week with more summer produce, eggs, and a new supply of pork products.
 
Turtle Rock Gardens will be at market with beautiful mixed bouquets, single variety bouquets, dried flowers and dried flower wreaths.  We will also have basil, mint, and tulsi.  See you Tuesday!
