 St. James of Nisibis
This Saturday is the Feast of St. James of Nisibis (Sourp Hagop). St. James was the first cousin of St. Gregory, who was appointed bishop of the Christian city of Nisibis in 308 A.D. He founded the basilica and theological school of Nisibis. He played role during the Council of Nicaea in 325. St. James is also known for his divine vision on Mount Ararat, where he found the sacred relic of Noah's Ark and brought it to the Armenian people.
