Newcastle Diocese Generosity Week starts this Weekend!

This Sunday 26th October, the first ever Newcastle Diocese Generosity Week begins. This is a new diocesan wide event which allows us the opportunity to spend eight days collectively focusing on nurturing, encouraging and celebrating generosity. A series of daily podcasts, reflections and activities will be available to help us reflect on God’s generosity, and activate it in our daily lives. Podcasts are available to listen to and download from all major podcast platforms including Apple, and Spotify. Please share with your church, family, friends and on social media.

easyfundraising Webinar

To help foster generous giving all year round, we work in partnership with fundraising website easyfundraising. Nearly 80 churches across our diocese are already using easyfundraising and have taken a share of over £5,000 in donations, which are now being used towards repairs, running costs, mission projects and many more things.

easyfundraising will be holding an information session online, exclusively for our Diocese at 1pm on Wednesday 13th October, where they will share lots of hints and tips on how you can make the most of this type of fundraising in the coming months. Grant Opportunity

The Asda Foundation - Bringing Communities Back Together Grant Phase 2 (UK) is now open for applications until 5th November 2021. Grants of between £500-£1,000 are available under three themes;

a) Celebration Event; e.g. if you wanted to host a celebration event to welcome back elderly/vulnerable members of your community

b) Getting Back on Track; e.g. if your church is looking to re-launch Messy Church and wishes to purchase new art and craft supplies and healthy snacks for children attending

c) Essential Support; e.g. if your church is co-ordinating supplies for homeless shelters, delivering food or hygiene packs to those in need

All applications must be made via a local Community Champion.
