Dear RGHS Families

The staff and I look forward to the return of our Grade 8 and 9 learners, starting with orientation for Grade 9 at 08:00 on Monday 3 August (Week 1 day 1) and Grade 8 on Tuesday 4 August 2020 (Week 1 day 2).  School ends at 14:30 on a Monday and 14:20 the rest of the week.  Although schools have subsequently been offered a delayed return, Rustenburg has chosen to continue with the dates originally gazetted by the National Education Department.

Grade 8s will attend school on Tuesdays and Thursdays in Week 1 and Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays in Week 2.

Grade 9s will attend school on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays in Week 1 and Tuesdays and Thursdays in Week 2.

Learners need to arrive at school in time to be screened before the start of day at 08:00.  Screening takes place from 07:15.  No learner may enter the building before she has been screened and has her sticker as proof.

School will be closed from 10 to 14 August.  Although the 10th and 11th are official public/ school holidays, Rustenburg has allocated 12 to 14 August as a work-from-home week to enable girls to ensure that they are up to date when we resume studies on Monday 17 August.

Parents of Grade 8s and 9s: if you have not already done so, please complete the survey below with regard to your daughter’s return to school:

Notices & Reminders

Tuckshop Pre-orders

Payments that were made for Term 2 lunch shop orders will be refunded to your daughter’s school fees account.  If the school fees account is fully paid for 2020, you are welcome to email niddriel@rghs.org.za and request a refund to your bank account (please provide bank account details).  If you are paying school fees on debit order, the last debit order payment in 2020 will be adjusted accordingly.

Grade 11 ID Documents

According to the Department of Home Affairs only matric students may apply for ID cards. The Grade 11 pupils will therefore have to wait until Home Affairs states otherwise.
REMINDER: The Bugs' Boutique will be open on Saturday 1 August from 10:00-12:00 for your convenience.
