From the Principal's Desk

Thank you to all our parents/guardians who attended our online parent engagement on Wednesday evening.  This was a constructive conversation and we look forward to the webinars that Ms Lovelyn Nwadeyi will offer our parents later this year. These webinars will explore Racial Literacy education for new and existing parents, “How to Talk to Children about Race…” and other aspects of our identity. We cannot meaningfully transform what our school feels like without you as parents onboard with us, so we are really looking forward to seeing more of you at these events. Minutes of Wednesday’s meeting will be distributed in due course.

Our Matric learners are busy with their preliminary examinations and I trust that all is going well. Please be supportive of them as they immerse themselves in these important preparatory processes.

Our swimming pool is scheduled for necessary repairs and maintenance as it is becoming a safety risk due to loose tiles as well as a lining that is deteriorating and in danger of leaking.  This is part of the maintenance cycle at school which helps us keep our facilities in good repair ensuring faithful stewardship of what is in our care. We hope to have this work completed by the first/second of November.

As we move into Level One of Lockdown, we should all still remain vigilant and ensure our social distancing, wearing of masks and proper hand hygiene.  Let's keep each other safe.
