  • Going home sick: Please note that parents/siblings fetching learners from school during the day must report to the front office. Learners will not be allowed past reception without a parent/sibling and will not be allowed off the premises without a yellow RGHS exit pass.
  • Please read the Learner Absenteeism and Late-coming Policy as well as the Request for learner to miss part of the school day form that is available on the Parent Portal. The form must be submitted 24-hours in advance.

Dialogue Day 2019
On Monday this week, Rustenburg Girls had our first Dialogue Day of 2019. Individual sessions were held in various classrooms and this time, whole classes from the same grade teamed up to discuss the theme of the day: Mental Health and Mental Health Awareness. Read more...

On Wednesday 13 February, Rustenburg pupils taking IsiXhosa First Additional Language went on an excursion to Khayelitsha visiting Lookout Hill and various small businesses in the area. Read more...

Bleby bags all three
It was definitely BLEBY’s day. Not only did they win the Swimming Gala but they also won both the Senior and Junior Forum discussion competitions on Friday, 1 February. Read further...

Past pupil (1954 to 1964, E1964), teacher (1971 to 1983, 1995-1996, 1999-2004) and author, Judith Gordon (née Stuart-Watson), responded to our request for books written by past learners and teachers of RGHS by donating four of her published works to the school's Media Centre. 

Afrikaans Society Picnic
The Afrikaans Society held a picnic for all Afrikaans teachers, Head of Societies, the Principal and the two Deputy Principals. Thank you to all of you!

LO Matters

We are celebrating our 125th Birthday with a Kaleidoscope of Music on 14 March 2019.  From Light Classical to Big Band Jazz, expect performances from current music staff (RGJS & RGHS), some professional musicians and the Rustenburg Alumnae Choir. Tickets are R125 and available on Quicket here Includes refreshments.
We are celebrating our school's 125th birthday this year at the Founders' Day assembly and lunch on Friday, 15 March 2019 in the Main Quad, Rustenburg Girls’ High School. Past pupils of the school, as well as current pupils and their parents are invited to come and celebrate with us.
All profits and donations will go towards the School's Bursary Fund.
