Advanced Warning - Campus Traffic:

On Friday 24 and 31 August, Rustenburg will be hosting the PGSGU Junior and Senior Cross Country competitions respectively, and as in previous years, this will mean an impact on the traffic flow on the school campus.

The Senior Cross Country on 31 August is starting at 15:30, which means that access to the back of the school will be restricted from 15:00. Since school ends at 14:00, the impact on traffic should be minor, but please arrange to collect your daughter from the front of the school after 15:00.

The Junior Cross Country  on 24 August, however, starts at 14:30, which means that access to the back of the school will be restricted during the afternoon pick-up and all collections will need to happen at the front of the school. As you can imagine this will have a severe impact on traffic flow on campus, which is already restricted in the afternoon. To help with managing this, please refer to the letter sent out earlier this year regarding options for collecting your daughter without coming onto campus. In addition, we are arranging for the junior grades to leave class 10 minutes early at the end of the day on this day, to assist with staggering the traffic leaving campus.

One of our girls was robbed while walking home after school on Wednesday last week.  Please remind your daughters to be aware of their surroundings when they walk home and, if possible, to walk with a friend.

The RGHS Forum Discussion Team were victorious at the Western Cape Forum Discussion competition at Wynberg Girls' High School on the 8th of August. The team comprised of front row: Kristina Semmelink (Chairperson) and Aviella-Loren Abrahams (reserve); Back row: Mr C. Van Dyk, Elizabeth Stevenson, Jamie Frasier, Mikayla Shaw and Darian Cloete.
