Sports News and Results 18 April

Rustenburg hosted the 5th annual U16 Champions' Cup Hockey and Netball tournament from 12-14 April. 18 Hockey teams and 18 Netball teams from across the country descended onto the school campus.

This event would not have been possible without the help of so many people. A huge thank you to the RGHS academic, administrative, cleaning and ground staff who assisted us throughout the weekend. Thank you also to the pupils who helped pack lunches for the visiting schools as well as the many parents who, inbetween supporting their daughters, assisted in the tuckshop and the Coke Can.

We are also grateful to our sponsors: SPUR, Peninsula Beverages, African Lumber Traders and MyCom Link.

Congratulations to the Rustenburg U16A Netball Team who came second at the Campions' Cup Tournament this past weekend.

Cultural Evening

The cultural evening on 9 April 2019 was a fantastic display of the many cultures within Rustenburg and our communities.
The evening started with a fashion show which was followed by musical items by some of our own talented pupils and staff.

Congratulations to Rustenburg and especially the Earth Children for receiving our second Platinum Eco-schools Award from WESSA. Our 2018 portfolio was based mainly on the work done on water saving, water conservation and water quality, as well as our ongoing sustainability efforts on campus.
