  • SGB BY-ELECTION UPDATE: Congratulations to Ms Bahija Hashim who was elected onto the SGB this past Monday. Thanks to all parents who made the effort to come and cast their votes. Thanks to outgoing SGB member, Mr Steven Schaefer, for his service to the school these past years.
  • We are delighted to announce the appointment of a new Manager for the Bugs Boutique. Eugenia Solkow, a parent of a Grade 12 Rustenburg learner, comes to us with vast experience in the clothing retail field and we look forward to what she has to offer to our Uniform Shop. Special thanks go to Linda Simmons, the outgoing Manager, who has stayed on six weeks past her official retirement date to help us out during our search for the right person to replace her.


Sports News and Results 2 May 2019

Please follow the progress of our participants at the National All Girls’ Schools’ Sport and Cultural Festival (NGSF) in Paarl on the RGHSSport Instagram page from 1-4 May.

Even though we currently have 47 girls representing Rustenburg in Paarl, hockey matches continue versus DF Malan on Friday and Saturday. The third league cross country race is also taking place at Wynberg Boys’ High School on Friday 3 May, with races starting at 15h00.


On Friday 26 April 2019 our Junior and Senior Marimba bands participated in the annual Marimba Festival at the Baxter Theatre. Read more about it here...

  • BHC School of Design Open Day: Saturday, 18 May. More information  On 23 November 2019 they will have a Sketching Workshop which is similar to the Open Days however you will have an opportunity view the 3rd Year Graduates work and do an entrance portfolio. This is for 2020 applicants.
  • EducationUSA Cape Town will be hosting its monthly information session, at the American Corner Cape Town (situated inside the Central Library), Corner Darling and Parade Streets, Cape Town CBD, on opportunities to study in the US.  Thursday, 25 April 2019 (info session every last Thursday of the month) @ 16:00.Please RSVP at if you plan to attend.

Pride had the privilege of having Nicole Terblanche as their guest speaker on 25 April. Nicole shared her journey of how she was able to combine her faith with her sexuality.


Second Hand Clothing Sale

To raise funds for our water polo tour to Serbia, we will be hosting a second-hand clothing sale on Friday 3 May 2019 from 13:30 - 15:00.

This is no history lecture! This is a story. A human story told by climbing into the boots of five prominent, interwoven protagonists spanning two hundred turbulent years: Mzilikazi, Kruger, Rhodes, Smuts and Mandela. More about the event here. Buy tickets here...
Piano Festival on 11 May. A full day of piano materclasses by Prof. Albie van Schalkwyk and others, as well as a festival concert (all welcome).
