Notices

  • All learners with old (khaki) lockers must remove their locks and any valuables from their lockers so that their belongings can be relocated to their new (white) lockers. If the locks are not removed by Monday, they will be cut off next week so that the lockers can be replaced.
  • Term 4 Pre-order lunch forms (download here) are for Grades 8-11. All forms are due back on 30 August. Parents are please asked to email proof of payment and form to haylettm@rghs.org.za

Traffic

Please be aware that there will be increased traffic on campus on the following two dates:

  • Friday 16 August – we are hosting the Rustenburg-Rhenish Derby, so there will be lots of visiting players and their supporters on campus
  • Friday 23 August – we are hosting the PGSGU Cross Country, which will mean that access to the back of the school will be blocked from 12 noon. All collections must therefore happen at the front of the school on that day.

We urge you to consider alternative plans for collecting your daughter on both those days, but particularly the latter. Please consider lift-clubs, off-site collection or a later collection time to help us ease the congestion on campus.

News

The Rustenburg-Rhenish Derby Day takes place this weekend (16-17 August), with our netball, hockey and soccer teams playing on both Friday and Saturday. The hashtag for the weekend is #whoisthebetterrghs. Our 1st Team Hockey girls are playing at 9:40 on Saturday morning. They have a long-standing rivalry with the team as they frequently play against each other in tournaments. The 1st Team Netball girls play at 10:45. Between the various sporting codes, 30 matches will be played with 534 girls involved. Be sure to be there to show your support for our girls!
