My heartfelt thanks and congratulations go to Mr Skelly and his wonderful cast of 12 Angry Jurors.  This was, yet again, a well-directed production of a professional standard.

With the Matric Dance coming up this weekend, the excitement is tangible in the corridors.  There is lots of talk as the Grade 12s prepare for the big event: walking their shoes in, having their nails done and last-minute adjustments to the special outfit.  Thank you to Ms Atkinson and her Grade 11 Matric Dance Committee for all the hard work put in to make the evening a success.

Our Chamber Choir has made it to the final round of the Kyknet Sing in Harmonie Choir  competition. We wish them all the best for this event next weekend.

Mr Emmanual Veruya would like to express his grateful thanks for all the contributions that have come in after his home burned down.  With your generosity, he has received a full household of goods; including a bed, microwave and fridge, along with the deposit and first two months’ rent for his new home.  With the remaining money that has come in we have established a disaster fund which can be used in the case of similar unfortunate situations.  Mr Veruya’s wife (who currently still lives in Zimbabwe) writes: “…from the bottom of my heart thank you a million times for all the indescribable gifts. May you all be richly blessed.  I have learned much of life’s philosophy, thank you all, you’re just too much.”

Thank you also for the continued support for the ‘Two for Tuesdays’ campaign, where extra sandwiches are brought in each Tuesday.  This is a much-appreciated contribution to the lunches for Parkwood Primary learners, where this is often one of the few meals some of these children receive in a week.

Once again, I encourage you to participate in the annual Golf Day, as there are still a few spaces available.  We also have opportunities for you to donate prizes, big or small.  Please contact the Marketing Office ( if you would like to be a part of this event.

Lastly, I would like to thank the Grade 12 History class for their meaningful Women's Day assembly on Monday. I hope that all the girls and women in our Rustenburg community enjoy the day on Friday, and remember those women who marched in 1956, as well as the many who are still fighting for equality all over the world.

May God bless you all abundantly."

  • Please note that Monday 12 August is a Day 7, and Tuesday 13 August is a Day 6, in order to facilitate the Matric Dance Fashion show. Learners are reminded to please pack their books accordingly.
  • The Matric Dance Fashion show is R10 - Karri and Snapscan payments are available.

Please be aware that there will be increased traffic on campus on the following two dates:

  • Friday 16 August – we are hosting the Rustenburg-Rhenish Derby, so there will be lots of visiting players and their supporters on campus
  • Friday 23 August – we are hosting the PGSGU Cross Country, which will mean that access to the back of the school will be blocked from 12 noon. All collections must therefore happen at the front of the school on that day.

We urge you to consider alternative plans for collecting your daughter on both those days, but particularly the latter. Please consider lift-clubs, off-site collection or a later collection time to help us ease the congestion on campus.
