In today's assembly we focused on Mental Health, a topic that is very important to us at school. Our guest speaker, psychiatrist Dr Laura Comrie (E 1998), spoke about factors that contribute to mental health challenges and positive coping strategies available to us. Ms Colly (pictured above) shared her journey of managing her own mental health condition and Ana van Straten, Head of the Positive Support Group, talked about what are we doing to raise awareness, de-stigmatise and support those with mental health problems. The discussion will continue on Monday 18 February during Dialogue Day.
Our guest speaker today was psychiatrist and past pupil, Dr Laura Comrie (E 1998).
