Health in the News
Healthy Weight
Study Finds 43% Drop in Obesity Rate for Preschoolers
A study published in the Journal of the American Medical Association found that the obesity rate among 2- to 5-year-olds dropped from 14 percent in 2004 to eight percent in 2012. Although this age group makes up only a small portion of the population, they are, perhaps, the most significant age group, as eating and exercise habits formed early are often harder to change later.
