Less Body Fat For Toddlers Taking Vitamin D

Mental Health Awareness Month!

May is Mental Health Month and the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) Howard County is launching an Anti-Stigma Campaign to bring attention to the variety of ways we stigmatize people with mental illness in our community.

While acceptance of certain groups of people has increased greatly over the past 50 years, specifically those with AIDS, breast cancer and those with disabilities, this tolerance has not yet been fully extended to individuals with mental illnesses. Join the campaign and sign the Anti-Stigma pledge!

As reported by Medical News Today, "We didn't find a silver bullet for healthy longevity," notes study co-author Ali Torkamani, PhD, director of genome informatics at STSI. "Instead, we found weaker signals among common as well as rare variant sites, which collectively suggest that protection against cognitive decline contributes to healthy aging."
