What's Happening
At SSAR
Our chapter's involvement in AdventureSmart continues to grow! Thanks to Shelly Ottley, Sean Taylor, Sherry Buller, Dale Liebrecht and Jarod Harvey for doing presentations during the past month.
Tracy VanBrabant attended an AdventureSmart coordinators workshop in St. John, NL. This was hosted by SARVAC and was designed to train future provincial coordinators and bring everyone up to date on new developments. It was a great opportunity to meet and share experiences with other AdventureSmart trainers from across the country.
Thanks to Rebecca Basset and Dale Liebrecht for organizing the March training day and to everyone who attended. Both field and command staff were challenged with communication breakdowns, teams being separated from each other and various other task difficulties. But we got to know our GPS units and Chief Whitecap Park a little better!

Members of all Saskatchewan SAR Chapters are welcome to attend. Cost will be approx. $35 to cover the cost of course materials (SSAR members will be covered by SSAR). Note: this course normally costs approx. $180 so this is a great opportunity. Further details and registration information will be made available once they are finalized.
