Dedication! Celebration!

October 28 marked the grand opening of the long-awaited "museum of life" core exhibit of the POLIN Museum of the History of Polish Jews in Warsaw. We have posted a photo gallery of some of the highlights of its complex interactive installations that narrate 1,000 years of Polish Jewish history. (Our cover picture shows detail of the reconstructed painted ceiling of the Gwozdziec wooden synagogue, a centerpiece of the exhibit.)
We marked the Nov. 9 anniversary of Kristallnacht and the Fall of the Berlin Wall with images of glorious synagogues...
and for Veterans Day/Armistice Day Nov. 11, we added more images to our photo gallery honoring Jewish soldiers killed in World War I.
