Harvest Market

November 22nd:

Join us this Fall for our first ever INDOOR MARKET! In anticipation of an abundant harvest, foul weather, and the consistency of the Thanksgiving Holiday, we've decided to hold an indoor market at the Mount Vernon Community Center the Saturday prior to Thanksgiving. You'll find farm, craft, and prepared food vendors, music, your neighbors and a rewarding sense of moral gratification after spending your money locally. Join us from 10am-3pm. It's only a couple of blocks south of the Market. 1401 Cleveland Ave.

Community Row

Every week at market we have guest organizations come to share their vision of what it means to be community, and what they do to make our community what it is.

Skagit Community Acupuncture will give you a little taste test of the awesome healing powers of acupuncture if you let them. Hope Abides, Skagit Gleaners, and Sound Salmon Solutions will all be at the market. Be sure to stop by and see what they are doing for our community.

If you are part of an organization that would like to table at the market, get in contact with Mouse Bird - mvfarmer1@gmail.com.

Music will be played from 10-1...

Skipper Lee Hamilton
Skip Hamilton brings his unique brand of modern and classical folk/rock to the Mount Vernon Farmers Market. Skip is a multi-instrumentalist, in the style of Bob Dylan, Neil Young and Mumford and Sons. As a seasoned veteran of the Nashville music scene and with over 25 years of international touring experience, Skip creates an eclectic and innovative style with something for every listener. Original rock to classic pop…hardcore bluegrass covers to sultry French Ballads, Skip will provide a performance you’ll not soon forget!

If you haven't won the Market Basket yet, Saturday's you're chance. For $1 (or if you buy more tickets, you'll have a better chance :), you could win $50-$100 of Market goodies that are so generously donated by the vendors. If you like the Mount Vernon Farmers Market, if you want to see it stick around and improve, buy a ticket! Your dollars will certainly be rewarded.

The Skagit Valley Farmers Market Coalition, comprised of Sedro-Woolley, Mount Vernon, Anacortes and Bow Little Markets, want YOU to get your food locally. Farmers Markets are for EVERYONE! If you've got an EBT card, and you come to one of our markets, we will match every dollar you spend up to $10. So, come to the market with $10 and get $20!

If you don't have an EBT card, hey, that's okay, we'll take donations to support this program all day long. If you think you might be eligible for an EBT card, check out DSHS or Community Action.
