Flood Expo 14th & 15th October 2015

We will be at  Flood Expo this year, hosting a networking area which will include a 3D visualisation of our flood data.  We have an EA theatre hosting presentations from leading experts including John Curtin (Interim Exec Director of Flood and Coastal Risk Management). Visitors will also be able to visit our new Incident Control Vehicle, a mobile command unit used to respond to incidents on the ground. Over 4,000 delegates have registered to attend the two day event at Excel in London. Register for FREE tickets here and come see us to discuss our Flood Data, Open Data and more!

Open Data Timeline
To transition our currently charged for data to Open, we are proposing the following timescales:

Flood Data - 1 April 2016
Waste Data - 1 April 2017
All other charged for data - 1 April 2018

Once we know which datasets will make up the tranches we will publish this in advance for you to allow you to plan new products and services.

Ordnance Survey Water Network replaces Detailed River Network

We will no longer be licensing the Detailed River Network (DRN) commercially as part of the agreement with Ordnance Survey now the new Water Network layer is available. The Water Network layer is available from OS in two formats, the OS Mastermap Water Network, and OS Open Rivers as Open Data.
