Writing Updates

I am happy to announce that Happily Ever Never, an anthology published by Creative James Media that I am featured in, is now out. My story revolves around two couples. One girl is in an abusive relationship with her boyfriend, while the other boy is in a relationship with a habitual cheater. You're going to have to check out the anthology to hear the rest.

I also finished the story I mentioned last month revolving around the young girl who sells her soul to the devil. It has been submitted to Inked in Gray's For Those Who Deserve to Exist anthology. I honestly think it was some of my best writing. I haven't heard back from them yet, but I am eagerly awaiting their decision. Even if it turns out to be a no, I know I have a helluva story to work with in the future.

I picked up an old short story as well. It was one I had started and got stuck in several months ago when I first started writing short stories for anthologies. This time around, though, it flowed. The words came naturally and the plot unfolded in my head line after line. The story centers around a group of ancient beings called the Airokae who live below the core of the Earth. They are the self-proclaimed protector's of Earth and aren't happy with how human's are treating the Earth. I have submitted the story to Bag of Bones Press's 2022 Annus Horribilis anthology.

My final piece of news is that I am about halfway through chapter two of Sunflower Kisses Book 2. There will be about seventeen total chapters. So, close to The Seeds of Love: Sunflower Kisses Book 1 chapter and word count. My goal is to release the book in June, so I have plenty of time to go through the motions and finish the story.

Mental Health

To My Bestfriend, From Your Bipolar Bestfriend

I dont know how or why you continue to put up with my constant mood swings and bouts of unnecessary jealousy. I can be irrational and hard to deal with. Yet, you deal with me. You do more than deal with me, you accept me.

You Don't Have to Be Ashamed

I want to remind people that it truly is okay to have a mental illness. It doesn’t make you any less of a person or any less deserving of love. I remind others with mental illness that they aren’t alone and I hope to serve as a beacon of hope. Despite our differences, we are fighters and we are worthy.

Stop Surviving and Start Living

I didn’t give up this year. In the past, when I hit rock bottom I would stay there until someone pulled me out. This year I fought. I was a fighter. I set goals and strived for them, I fought to achieve my desires instead of watching them from a distance.

A Voice of Reason

I sighed and leaned back against the wall. I slid down until my bottom met the ground and pulled my knees to my chest, wrapping my arms around them. With my head pressed in between my knees, I allowed a single tear to leave my eye.

The Shaman

I rounded the corner and saw a ghost. There, standing in front of me, was a spirit I hadn’t seen in a hundred years. Her jet black hair ran down the sides of her shoulder, perfectly accenting her ivory skin. Her smile turned into a scowl as she debated between two paint swatches. It had to be her. But how?

A Man With a Plan

“Wait, are you serious? This could be a huge story! An assassination attempt on Pollo, New York City’s Most Eligible Bachelor, successful pop star, night club mogul.”

A New Lead

It had been a very long time since I had seen any of the Creionides, much less Astraeus. What would the Titan of the Dawn want from me? Were the titans mounting another attack on us? They couldn’t be, right?
